Artificial intelligence (AI) practices

Guided by human oversight to help safeguard privacy and security, AI is thoughtfully used to enhance our service delivery and customer experiences.

We’re using AI to:

  • Deliver new hire emails offering personalized coverage recommendations
  • Provide real time support through the AI-driven chatbot within the Benefit Scout decision-support tool
  • Process supplemental health claims faster for payment. The combination of advanced technology and Securian's experienced claims examiners helped acheive a less than 24 hour6 timeframe from proof to payment for health and wellness, accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity claims in 2024.
