Sid is member of our executive leadership team and leads our Employee Benefits Solutions Group, which includes managing the growth and profitability of our group life and voluntary insurance products. In addition, he is the chairman of the board for Empyrean Benefit Solutions, one of our independently operated subsidiaries, that complements our broad lineup of innovative solutions for the employee benefits market.

Experience

Sid joined Securian Financial in 2010 and has led several of our major strategic initiatives, including managing multiple acquisition transactions and introducing new capabilities (brand, innovation, data) that have enhanced our position as a leading, customer-centric organization. He was promoted to senior vice president in 2017 when he was named the head of our Enterprise Technology area, where he managed all aspects of our technology transformation. Prior to joining Securian Financial, Sid held leadership roles at major financial and information services firms and worked as a consultant for a global consulting organization.

Community

In 2016, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal recognized Sid as a “40 Under 40” honoree for his achievements in the Twin Cities community. Sid is a member of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management Board of Overseers and is a member of the Board of Trustees of American Public Media Group and Minnesota Public Radio. He is also a former chairman of Visit St. Paul.
