For the ninth consecutive year, Securian Financial has earned certification as a Great Place to Work® (GPTW), based on the voices of associates who participated in the annual survey.
Participation in the 2025 survey was high at 83%, reflecting associates’ continued commitment to sharing their perspectives and contributing to the ongoing evolution of our associate experience. And 76% of associates agreed with the statement that Securian Financial is a great place to work. The average score for companies is 57%.
“We are proud to again be a great place to work and have such high participation,” said Becca Hagen, vice president of Talent Management. “Our associates' input and feedback help us understand what works well and what needs improvement.”

Benefits of participating
The company participates in this survey each year for many reasons. In addition to getting a pulse on our culture, it helps us boost recruiting. The Great Place to Work certification gives us an edge in a competitive market and attracts applicants to Securian. Additionally, taking part in the survey allows us to compare our results with thousands of other participating organizations as benchmarks and to hear examples of what they are doing within their teams to foster great places to work.
Most importantly though, it gives a direct way for associates to share their voices. “The survey serves as our starting point to understand trends and themes,” noted Becca. “And these insights will help inform actions. The path forward is one of continued listening, learning, and acting.”
