Pete is a member of our executive leadership team and leads all areas of our Affinity Solutions division, which serves the financial institution and association markets in the United States and Canada. He oversees sales, business development, financial management, strategic planning, marketing, compliance and operations.

Experience

Pete joined Securian Financial as a director in 2006. Prior to assuming his current position, Pete led our Enterprise Technology division where he oversaw our technology strategy and operations, including infrastructure, application development, data and analytics, cybersecurity and vendor governance. He has also held other senior leadership positions within our company, including chief financial officer for our Wealth Management Group. In addition, Pete has led several of our key enterprise strategic initiatives including implementing a new channel partner compensation platform, and introducing a new employee work model following the pandemic. Pete was promoted to second vice president in 2012, vice president in 2017 and to senior vice president in 2022. Before joining Securian Financial, he worked as a CPA for Ernst & Young in Chicago and Minneapolis.
