Securian’s Ebertz and Advantus’ Bergsland named “Top Women in Finance”
ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Securian Financial Group vice president Susan Ebertz and Erica Bergsland, a vice president with Advantus Capital Management, a Securian subsidiary, have been honored as 2015 “Top Women in Finance” by the Finance & Commerce newspaper.
Now in its 15th year, the “Top Women in Finance” program recognizes women who are making an impact not only in their professions but also in their communities. An outside panel of experts reviews the nominations and selects the honorees. The 2015 class includes executives, attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors—all of whom were celebrated at an event on November 19 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis.

She joined Securian in 1980 as part of the company’s management development program right after graduating from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. Today Ebertz heads all Securian claims and leads the underwriting operations for two of the company’s largest businesses. Outside of work, Ebertz serves on the board of directors of Lifetrack, a St. Paul-based human service nonprofit. Read more about Ebertz here.
