As a Management Development assistant analyst, you’ll steadily work towards a rewarding leadership position with our large, multifaceted corporation, ready to tackle a variety of business situations and capable of providing coaching and direction to other associates.
The training and hands-on business experience you receive is designed to further enhance your organizational, communication and leadership skills, and provide opportunities to strengthen your presentation, writing and technical skills.
What to expect
The rotational Management Development Program is centered around development through hands-on work, coaching from various executives, mentoring and networking.
After completing a training period in the Management Development Center, your training will continue through hands-on job rotations.
In order to meet the business needs of clients in all Securian strategic business units, assistant analyst responsibilities are varied and include:
- Associate work direction and supervision
- Providing marketing support for products and researching effective marketing tools
- Evaluating and initiating quality improvement
- Conducting cost justification studies
- Recommending effective methods and procedures
- Facilitating participative problem solving
- Providing staff planning assistance
Our job rotation provides you with an excellent opportunity to develop management skills and professional competence while becoming familiar with many areas of Securian.
Assistant analysts are placed on teams throughout the company for each four-month rotation based on their interests, experience and business need.
As you become more familiar with the company and refine your interests and skills, you may pursue a supervisory or other professional career at Securian. Supervisory career positions are available within a variety of departments, such as administrative services, customer service, finance or claims.
If your interests lie in other professional areas, a wide range of positions are available within departments such as asset management, human resources, marketing, underwriting and our broker-dealer.
