What you’d be doing

Interns' responsibilities are similar to those of a full-time employee.

You'll also attend a series of seminars and discussions with guest speakers, from our CEO and senior executives to new employees beginning their careers. These sessions provide a deeper understanding of our business and give you an opportunity to network and build relationships.

Areas of focus

Internships are available in these areas.

Actuarial science

Apply your math and business skills as you explore a career in actuarial science. You'll analyze complex problems related to insurance and retirement products and be instrumental in developing and pricing products Securian Financial sells.

Enterprise technology

Be part of the division responsible for all areas of technology at Securian Financial. Programs can include data science, application development, infrastructure and operations, UX and data analytics, or cybersecurity.

We begin interviewing for internships in the fall. If selected, you would participate during the summer between your junior and senior years.
