Securian Financial offers a four-year financial professional development program, which helps you develop the skills necessary to build a thriving practice.

We also offer a summer financial professional internship program — a competitive, 10-week development opportunity within our affiliated firms.

Throughout the internship, you’ll work alongside a seasoned financial professional to learn how they help their clients reach short and long-term goals.

Characteristics of a successful financial professional

Ideal candidates are competitive, self-motivated, energetic, personable and goal oriented. Educational degrees in finance, communications, marketing or business are helpful but not required.
