ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Advantus Capital Management has introduced a multi-sector bond investment strategy built on a long history of total return-focused fixed income investing.
Called Strategic Credit Income, the strategy invests across fixed income sectors, industries, geographies and credit qualities, relying on rigorous proprietary analysis coordinated between portfolio management and credit research teams.
The strategy seeks to provide a high level of current income through different market environments, long-term capital appreciation and attractive risk-adjusted returns relative to other credit-focused investment options — with the potential for lower interest rate sensitivity than traditional fixed income investment strategies.
“Even with the recent U.S. interest rate hike, bond yields across global fixed income markets remain at or near historically low levels,” said Steven Moen, Advantus Capital Management’s senior vice president for business development and investment solutions.
“Advantus continually addresses market challenges for our institutional and retail clients by leveraging our extensive portfolio management and credit research expertise to develop investment solutions like Strategic Credit Income.”
Thomas Houghton, CFA, David Land, CFA, and Daniel Henken, CFA, are the portfolio management team for the strategy. For more information, visit www.advantuscapital.com.
