ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Robin Lenarz, Securian Asset Management’s assistant general counsel, has been honored as one of the Finance & Commerce newspaper’s 2018 “Top Women in Finance.”
Now in its 18th year, the “Top Women in Finance” program recognizes women who are making an impact not only in their professions but also in their communities. An outside panel of experts reviews the nominations and selects the honorees.
Lenarz and other honorees were celebrated at an event on November 15 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis.
Lenarz re-joined Securian Asset Management in 2012 after previously working as an investment attorney for the firm from 1995 to 2001. As assistant general counsel, Lenarz focuses on fixed income loan documentation, complex covenant and deal structures, commercial real estate, private equity partnerships, workouts and loan restructurings.
She received her juris doctor degree from Harvard Law School and bachelor’s degree from Hamline University.
Outside of work, Lenarz volunteers several times a year teaching economics to elementary and high school kids for Junior Achievement.
“Our firm is very fortunate to have someone as talented and experienced as Robin on our legal team,” said Dave Kuplic, Securian Asset Management’s president. “We are all proud of Robin and congratulate her on this well-deserved honor.”
