ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Securian Financial has awarded $10,000 to LegacyArmour, a Minnesota-based asset protection and delivery startup, as the 2018 winner of a Securian Financial-sponsored award for innovation shaping the future of financial services or life insurance through technology. Securian Financial launched the award in 2016 as part of MN Cup, an annual statewide startup competition organized by the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
LegacyArmour is a legacy-planning platform that prepares individuals and their families for life’s unexpected events. Powered by an artificial intelligence engine, LegacyArmour allows individuals to organize their important assets in encrypted vaults and then have them automatically delivered to designated recipients based on date, death or incapacitation.
“Securian is proud to support the MN Cup and the work the competition does to foster innovation in our community,” said Sid Gandhi, Securian Financial’s chief strategy and enterprise technology officer. “This year we congratulate the LegacyArmour team for their encrypted digital vaults that help individuals and families securely manage their financial lives.”
LegacyArmour and other startup companies were honored Monday, October 8, at the MN Cup Final Awards Reception, held at the McNamara Alumni Center on the University of Minnesota campus.
