ST. PAUL, Minnesota--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Securian Financial Group has promoted John Underwood to national sales vice president for financial institutions and hired Jim McClintick as a regional sales vice president, reporting to Underwood.
Underwood joined Securian in 2007 and has held sales positions of increasing responsibility with the company. In his new position, he is responsible for working with affiliated and non-affiliated distribution entities to drive sales of Securian insurance products and services through financial institutions and affinity groups. Underwood has a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and lives in Elk River with his wife and daughter.
McClintick works closely with distributors to offer Securian’s comprehensive suite of products and services to financial institutions. He joins Securian from RiverSource Life Insurance, an Ameriprise Financial company. He has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Bethel University and lives in Chanhassen with his wife and daughter.
