On January 28, 2020, Fitch Ratings affirmed the Insurer Financial Strength rating for Securian Financial at AA (Very Strong) and maintained our stable outlook.
The rating and outlook apply to Securian Financial’s insurance company affiliates Minnesota Life Insurance Company and Securian Life Insurance Company, a New York authorized insurer.
Fitch Ratings is a leading provider of credit ratings, commentary and research. It has evaluated the claims-paying ability of life, health, property casualty, bond and annuity insurers since 1986. Securian Financial’s AA rating is Fitch’s third highest of 19 ratings.
