What you’d be doing
Interns' responsibilities are similar to those of a full-time employee.
You'll also attend a series of seminars and discussions with guest speakers, from our CEO and senior executives to new employees beginning their careers. These sessions provide a deeper understanding of our business and give you an opportunity to network and build relationships.
Areas of focus
Internships are available in four key areas.
Apply your math and business skills as you explore a career in actuarial science. You'll analyze complex problems related to insurance and retirement products and be instrumental in developing and pricing products Securian Financial sells.
Be part of the division responsible for all areas of technology at Securian Financial. Programs can include data science, application development, infrastructure and operations, UX and data analytics, or cybersecurity.
Gain exposure to a career in finance by conducting a variety of financial planning, analysis and reporting projects. These may include performing financial projections, management reporting or other finance activities.
Develop leadership skills through hands-on work and coaching. In this rotational program, you'll be matched with a business area such as finance, investments, operations, accounting or human resources to advance strategic priorities for our company.
