Securian's in-house training offers over 150 general and customized courses to help associates grow in their careers. The wide variety of topics include leadership development, decision making, project management, diversity, technology tools, and personal development. Each year new courses are added to the curriculum based on business needs and associate feedback.
A strong orientation program is an essential component of an associate's success at Securian. The orientation series offers a snapshot look at the Company and an understanding of the "big picture." The overall objective of the series is to give associates the opportunity to learn more about Securian's history, culture, values, goals and future directions. Armed with this broad perspective you will leave motivated, confident and committed to a career at Securian. Courses included in the Orientation program are:
- Introduction to Securian’s Products and Services
- Brand Training: building your personal brand and connecting it to the Securian brand
- Customer Service Excellence
- Introduction to the Securian technology environment
In addition to individual courses and the Orientation program, Securian offers specialized programs involving a series of courses leading to certifications in Supervisory Excellence and Project Management. As with the individual course curriculum, new certification programs are developed based on associate and management feedback.
