More than a summer job, our Summer Internship Program provides valuable hands-on experience, an opportunity to apply classroom learning to the business world and the chance for students and the Company to get acquainted. Internship opportunities are available in Information Technology, Actuarial and our Management Development Program, a customized career track for emerging leaders.
We look for candidates with proven academic success and effective communication skills, demonstrated leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills and abilities specific to an internship – the same qualities Securian seeks when interviewing candidates for full-time positions. We begin interviewing for internships in the fall and look for candidates to participate in the Summer Internship Program between their junior and senior years.
