Blueprint for Success

We conduct ongoing research with financial institutions to find out what factors make cross-offering efforts successful. What we have found is financial institutions that excel in their cross-offering efforts share similar characteristics that can be divided into six core compentencies.

Our Integrated Learning System — called Blueprint for Success — focuses on these core competencies to put your financial institution on the best path to developing productive cross-offering efforts.

 

The six core compentencies of successful cross-offering:

Technical and Product Knowledge
Knowing the "ins and outs" of Payment Protection (credit insurance) and Mortgage Life Insurance, and/or Debt Cancellation programs, is a critical step in successfully offering coverage to borrowers. We focus on developing a thorough understanding of these products and the skills needed to offer this coverage.

Motivation
A motivated staff is a productive staff. In this phase of our Integrated Learning System, we concentrate on developing the building blocks of motivation — commitment, positive attitude and adaptability to change.

Professional Communication
Whether it's sharing information with a fellow employee or handling an objection, professional communication is important to your financial institution's image. We focus on developing the characteristics that define professionalism: effective communication, managing difficult situations and maintaining a professional manner.

Borrower Focus

Presentation Skills
