Industry-related training

Securian offers tuition assistance for the successful completion of courses in industry-related educational programs appropriate to an associate's current job and future development. Securian pays 100 percent of exam fees and study materials for most courses.

Eligible courses include LOMA, CLU, ICA, CFA programs and other courses for professional and association memberships.

Life Office Management Association (LOMA)
This self-study program, consisting of 10 parts, provides a basic understanding of life insurance and life company operations. Securian offers optional in-house classes to aid associates in preparing for some of the LOMA exams.

Chartered Life Underwriter/Chartered Financial Consultant
The CLU/ChFC program provides detailed information about life insurance and life sales.

International Claims Association
The ICA program, developed by the International Claims Association in cooperation with the Life Office Management Association, examines claims administration in individual and group life and health insurance.
