Our ratings Our insurance company affiliates are highly rated by the independent ratings organizations that analyze financial strength and claims paying ability. Minnesota Life Insurance Company, our primary insurance affiliate, ranks among the most highly rated financial institutions in America. Minnesota Life maintains its financial integrity and strength to provide security and value for clients. Four independent rating organizations rate Minnesota Life's ability to meet its obligations to policyholders by analyzing our overall financial picture, the strength of our management, our financial reserves, our types of policies, and our claims-paying history. Minnesota Life's ratings are as follows:
Securian Life Insurance Company ratings are the same as the ratings for Minnesota Life Insurance Company. Securian Casualty Company, our property-casualty affiliate is rated A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best, the fourth highest of 16 ratings. Cherokee National Life Insurance Company, an affiliate based in Macon, Georgia, provides life insurance products to financial institutions and their customers.
